The Library and Information Science Student Association (LISSA) includes students in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) program at Dominican University, in River Forest, Illinois.

LISSA’s Mission:

The mission of the association is to enhance the Dominican University Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) students’ education.

LISSA’s objectives are:

1. To facilitate the networking of the students of GSLIS
2. To provide to and knowledge of information relevant to library and information science.
3. To promote involvement in professional activities beyond the classroom including field trips.
4. To act as a liaison for and promote the interests of the student body to the GSLIS administration and faculty.
5. To act as a liaison for and promote the interests of the student body to the Dominican University administration.
6. To act as a liaison for and promote the interests of the student body to the Rebecca Crown Library.
